VIA Rail’s The Canadian route takes you across the country, where you’ll view diverse landscapes that leave you in awe. The four-day trip from Toronto to Vancouver takes passengers out of the city through prairie fields and picturesque towns, past the Canadian Rockies as you cross five provinces.

This picturesque and historic two-day rail journey takes travellers from British Columbia to Alberta (or vice versa), and is celebrated for connecting British Columbia to the rest of Canada. The Rocky Mountaineer train travels by daylight, and guests spend the night in a comfortable hotel, so they don’t miss a moment of breathtaking scenery. 

On the First Passage of the West route, guests will enjoy awe-inspiring views of the towering Rocky Mountains, pristine lakes, and charming towns along the way. To explore the iconic Rockies destinations, a selection of itineraries is available, ranging from two to 15 days.
